Title Writing Tips
The way you title your events can really determine the size of your audience. It is important to make sure you use a good title that is both attention grabbing and informative. Please refer to these tips before titling and submitting your events!
Tips:
- Be specific. The print calendars will be cutting back on much detail beyond the title, so readers will be very dependent on the title to give them a clear idea of the content of the class.

On a more statewide level, we have found partnering with student groups to really help drive attendance. We even held a contest for the group that had the most student participants at UI. This was quite successful. See attached.

Again think creatively about what media will really help you reach your target audience. For us, this has been a partnership with Chicago Parent Magazine. We reach over 200,000 individuals each year during MSW with in magazine financial education activities in a resource that we know is read solely by parents and children.

Having an event earlier in the week is a great way to communicate and spread the word about events you have planned later in the week. NFA participates in the Financial Regulators Fair which is usually held on the Wednesday of Money Smart Week.
