From Eugene to Miami, Ramen noodles are king!


Post apocalypse the only things that will remain will be: Cockroaches, Twinkies & Ramen Noodles!

The ramen noodle is the ubiquitous food found in college dorm rooms from Eugene to Miami.  While this much loved / hated food comes with instructions on the side of the cup or brick, sometimes you are just not in the mood for chicken (flavor) soup. Here are some ideas from across the internet to add some class to those noodle bricks.
So you have a date planned but are flat broke? Clean off your hot plate and ready your finest solo plates for this recipe.
Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry Ramen
1 package beef or spicy beef ramen noodles
2 cups water
1 pound beef steak strips
2 teaspoons oil
2 cups broccoli, cut up
1 cup green onions, cut in strips
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)

What to do:

Cook noodles according to package directions and drain. In a skillet brown beef and drain off any extra liquid.  Add oil, 1/2 seasoning packet, broccoli and onions. Stir-fry for five minutes. Add soy sauce and red pepper. Simmer for five minutes more. Serve over noodles and enjoy your feast. (Source:  Budget

Are nearly all of your Doritos gone, but you have yet to go for the bag ending slide of crumbs directly into your mouth? Good thing, because those crumbs mixed with some ramen noodles & chili and tailgating is covered.

Chile Ramen

1 package of beef ramen
1 can of no bean chili
shredded cheddar
about a cup of broken Dorito chips
1/4 cup chopped onion (optional)

What to do:

Cook noodles as indicated on package and then drain all water from noodles. Take a can of no bean chili, onions and Doritos and add them together. Top with some cheese and dig. (Source:
